Firefox :)
Firefox is far by the best simply because of the security it offers. It is also open source which is also an advantage, I guess. Plus they were the first to do tab browsing.

Firefox, for 2.5 reasons. Heh. For one, I've heard about it's more secure, whatchumuhcallit, and I heard it's got much less flaws compared to IE. Secondly, it uses tabs. (IE7 is a copycat!) For that half reason, I work with web designing and I use both IE and FF to make sure my pages are cross-browser compatible.
avant, which is a bit unstable
maxthon, pretty stable
slimbrowser,low memory
firefox, probably the fastest and safest
ie 7, which is just naff

I use FF for browsing, Opera for downloads, SeaMonkey (a Mozilla thing) for some testing, and IE7 for more testing, anyone have any suggestions of browsers I should get so that I can cover the bases with the 99.9% of popular browsing? I think I got it with my combo (since I hate mac users)

Personally, I use both Firefox and IE.
I need the latter mostly for updating Microsoft patches, and accessing IE-compatible sites.

I use mostly IE, because FireFox eats up my memory and pages take longer to load.. I use FireFox sometimes, not a lot.

Really? Firefox is a lot faster and more versatile for me.

Firefox does eat alot of memory on my computer, but i still feel that once i have one window loaded it is faster and better in general.

^agreed. <3 firefox!
I use Internet Explorer. I would use Firefox, but I have AOL, so it takes a long time (longer than usual) to load (as if AOL isn't slow enough).

The new IE7 is actually pretty good, some of you should try it.
I use firefox for most of my web browsing though.

i dislike firefox only because it doesnt show html properly on certain pages...... terrible if your designing a webpage so i dont know how you guys all like it.. i use maxthon. has a strong builtin popup blocker. it'll even take off floating ads on pages. pretty good.

I dont like how there are so many different web browsers, when designing web sites I allways make sure it works in all of the most popular browsers, which can be a big hassle.

use FF with IE-Tab and Opera View like I do, just see if you don't care about the differences if you don't, then just let it be.

In fact, I noticed IE 7 contains severe bug issue. Some web pages don't render well with IE 7, unlike FF or IE6. I must also comment that IE 6 renders web pages better than IE 7.

I'm aware of that. The color is kinda screwed. But Microsoft will begin to resolve everything and send it down through Auto-Updates.
And FF doesn't work well with FTP.

And FF doesn't work well with FTP.
FF isn't meant to be used as a FTP. I would recommend Filezilla if necessary to use FTP.

Firefox all the way because you can optimize to load pages faster by in your Address Bar -> about:config
Filter: ->
network.dns.disableIPv6 -> true
network.http.pipelining -> true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests -> 8
network.http.proxy.pipelining -> true
and then restart and you should have a faster firefox

as a web designer/developer, I use both IE7 and Firefox 2. I use Opera to a lesser extent but Opera renders CSS screwy. 2 lesser-known browsers worth mentioning are Maxthon and Avant. One thing I must say is wherever you anti-MS guys got the IE7 color and rendering problems, it's not widespread. IE7 has a much better rendering engine than Firefox. The most obvious of the differences is how each browser renders plain text. The Trident engine (IE) is superior to the Gecko (FF) engine. Period.

I use Flock! Just another version of Firefox that includes things for fileuploading and blog support, and all the features of Firefox.

I happened to use Flock before, the time when it was publicly announced. However, I stop using it since all I need from a browser is to browse, not really to blog.

Firefox for casual surfing, Avant for my palm pilot, Opera for compatibility testing, and Internet Explorer for sites that don't accept the other three.
