Filezilla?

Is it possible to use Filezilla to upload and manage files? If so how do you install it and get it to work?

What is filezilla?

Its a file uploading program. Someone over at phpbb.com forums said I should use it in order to get the avatar uploads to work on my forum. Here is what they said. I make some other posts there but I'll post them later when I find them.

go ahead and try. that's also a portable version of filezilla if you don't want to install the program. the guy only used filezilla as an example ("eg"). i think any ftp client will work.

Yes since its an ftp program it should work fine.

I tried to change the permissions on my avatar folder to 777 but it keeps being reset to 775. Why is this? Someone over at the phpBB forums said an admin here could help me out. Is that true?

You do not need to change the permissions.
