Well, I haven't personally seen any advertisements on my website. I have tried multiple browsers and i still dont get any. Although, many of my users say they got ads. So i want to know this:
Ads. Yes or no?
If i recall, on like 10 different sites, it said that your site had no ads. That is why I signed up. But. . . I continue to get ads, and continue to be annoyed. So annoyed, that I have deleted my forums, (will start something else if there ARENT ads). So just answer the question above.
Well if you looked around the forum a bit you'd know there are ads on the free packages. If you don't want any ads then just pay and you won't get them. They hardly ever show up for me and my members say the same thing. There used to be "no ads" on our sites, but yeah it's tough keeping things free forever.
I'm still a little confused on your post though:

You say you don't see any ads at the start of your post..........then turn it around and say you're getting annoyed by them :?

Im saying. . . I dont get the ads, but my users do.
+ I thought it was ad-free
Well it's weird because you said this at the start:
Well, I haven't personally seen any advertisements on my website.
Then you say this:
But. . . I continue to get ads, and continue to be annoyed. So annoyed, that I have deleted my forums...
And yes it was adfree....until a few months ago.

Ads seem to act strange for me as well. When on this computer, i never get ads. On all other computers, the ads appear every page load. I still think it will make things alot easier when banner ads(hopefully google or yahoo) are implemented ;)
Well, i suppose it doesn't matter considering i'm going to be skipping my afternoon classes for the rest of the week to work so that i can get enough money for ad-free.

FYI: You don't have to use BIG FONT to get our attention.
We don't control the other sites, when we first opened we were ad free but now we are not. You can upgrade to a paid account for a low monthly or yearly fee.

are we allowed to put our own ads on?? like google ads..the firefox thingy and all..are we?
Yes you are allowed to put in your own ads, but remember, since there are already ads going, you have to state that when getting a publisher account going.
If you don't, sometimes they'll cancel your account because one ad network is interfering with another.

Hello,
I am a bit confused myself as I found your services on a chart and I choose it because it was adds free and offered 5 gb space. Do we have an option to show the adds in a different layout ? What I am saying, is could the user develop his own style to show the add somewhere on his front page web instead of a pop up?
Thanks
Jose
You could do a search and find out since this topic has been discussed NUMEROUS times...
Eric and Tyler said they were working on something a while back so that people can choose between Pop-ups/unders or a different form of ad.
No update on this though.
