View Full Version : FTP Uploading
I need to upload a large amount of files so I’m using Filezilla to upload the files for me, but I’m not sure what Information I need to enter for it to upload successfully.
The address I’m using to connect is: ftp.ulmb.com
I used Port 21 as the port to use. (Do I also need to forward the port?)
For user and password I’m just using the information I used to sign-up eg. keen and my pass.
What am I doing wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Keen.

Your FTP login information (username) is wrong. You need to use your full URL. To see what it is view it on http://account.ulmb.com/sites/
Cheers man, I'll try the uploading again tonight and post how it goes, thanks for the help. ;)
EDIT:
Still having a problem. =S
Heres the information I have entered into filezilla for it to connect.
Address:ftp.ulmb.com
Username: keen.ulmb.com
Password: The password I used to signup here.
Port: 21

Make sure you are using the correct password. I have a different password for these forums to the one for my website which was why I could not use FTP programs for a while. Also check in your user accounts to see in your account has all the options checked.

That is correct.
If you cannot connect, then you are being blocked by your firewall or router, make sure they are configured to allow port 21.
Also try switch between PORT and PASV mode to see which one works best for you.
Still nothing.
I used all the info like I stated above, my password is correct and im almore practically 100% sure that the information im using ot try and connect is correct.
I think its a problem with my router. I forwarded port 21 on my router and I disabled my anti vius while trying to connect. Still I cant connect.
Heres the error I get.
[23:39:30] Resolving host name "ftp.ulmb.com"
[23:39:30] Connecting to 66.28.205.207 Port: 21
[23:39:51] A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host.
[23:39:51] Client closed the connection.
Any help or advice?

Ok your getting a socket error, which means it is definately a firewall problem at your end.
