Ok, this is for all the staff here and ULMB! One, your hosting is wonderful and filled with plenty of upgrades to keep anyone happy for a long time!  I would rate you a 5 out of 5 stars! I even gone as far as posting this link around the net (not spamming) to bring ppl here! Great work and fast, friendly (unless you are stupid.. ) support! Great Job!:D
ULMB is definitely my favorite host now :)
Took me a while to really go through everything and have things going here to realize that though, but yes, they're the best in my opinion, and I've been with loads of hosts by now. :)

Yeah, i agree. I started web design in...2001 i believe, so i've definately been through my share of hosts. When i saw a link to UnlimitedMB, and saw that they offered 5gb of space, and 500gb bandwidth with no ads, i was astounded. When they first added ads, i was a little annoyed, since i didn't have money to upgrade. But after a few weeks, i came to accept the fact that they're just like everyone else, and need money to keep things running. UnlimitedMB has efficient customer support, great uptime (besides the DDOS attacks every once in a while, but all hosts go through that), friendly staff, and amazing plans. :)
Haha, that sounded like a testimonial. :p

I havent been able to do alot on-line the last few months as far as posting on here because of my long work hours but i totally agree. Im very greatfull for the service and still planning on buying a few new domains and upgrading,
although ill prob wait untill one of my current top domains expirers in Nov. Then ill re-register it here and get like the medium level upgrade package.
As far as the pop unders.. they dont bother me at all ive had 0 complaints from my visitors.
Most free hosts have worser ads like toolbars ect.. and can drop anytime, here we get great reliable service, fast smart support. Here i dont have to worry about when i wake up in the morning will my site be here lol its good.
When i do upgrade itll be just my little way of saying thank you.

Don't let your domains expire if you still want them. It is very unlikely that you will be able to register them again.

What can you do if the domain was gift.. he said ill register you one and point it to the name server you want , and now i cant contact the person (he moved) sadly and ive tried his old email and never a reply.
note: Its not hosted here currently but i want it to be after i get it registerd in my name ive had full controll from when he gave it to me like a year ago but 6 months ago he moved back to russia and i wouldnt even be able to change name servers if i wanted it sucks but i dont want to miss my window in nov what can i do? can u tell me how re-registeration or pre-registeraion works.
(can u guys register it in advance for me like that if its not currently registerd in my name?)
Is it possiable to register domains in advance if your not the origional person who registerd it before?
Ive been thinking id have to wait for it to expire and then try to get ulmb or some one to register it for me that very day it expired before some one snatches it up.
I wont post the url but its a very good domain i mean if i cant preregister it or re register it in time ill lose 50% of my income ;/ so its very important i get it before any automated or bussinesses snatch it out from under me..
Id sincerly appreciate any advice on this and like i said i do want it on this server cause ulmb is faster and my site on ulmb does well here and never has any bandwitch problems like the old place and that domain that is there would prob make me more money here and if i lost it to some one else reregistering it before me ill probly lose my sanity and my hlaf my living :o
Sorry for such a long post but you really woke me up to some seriouse potentioal issues with your reply.

The domain will be down for about 6 months before you can re-register it.
If you cant contact who bought the domain for you try contact the registrar directly.
You can probably just call them and pay for the renewal even if you dont have access the domain control panel.

Also, there are rip-off registrars that perform daily searches for domains that will expire soon, then they back-order them, so the moment your domain expires, it is reserved to them, and they'll charge you hundreds of dollars to get it back.

Love the hosting.
The only thing I don't like is that you guys don't support .rar, other than that, I hope be a paid member of this service for another year or 2.

Paid members can upload rar files.

I meant in the same way zip files are done. If you try to download it, you just get a page full of random code.
I am a paying member by the way.

Oh... Ok, yes you are correct then, zip files are the only ones that can be uncompressed. But it's easy to unRAR it on your computer then zip it.

Yes, but I just prefer winrar, it kinda grew on me. Plus, the compression is better. Anyway, life goes on, and I continue to enjoy your hosting.

We will not allow rar on free hosting because rar allows segmenting.
We do not want people splitting large files into 2MB rars to avoid our file size limits.
I meant in the same way zip files are done. If you try to download it, you just get a page full of random code.
I am a paying member by the way.
Actually that pretty much happens elsewhere as well. Everytime I try just clicking on a RAR file elsewhere (thinking it'll pop-up a box saying to save it to my computer) it just shows up a huge page of random code.
So that's not really this hosting's fault.....probably just the way RaR files are coded or something...

Well, my other host had full support for .rar files, so thats why I was disappointed.

The method of which a file is displayed in the browser or pops up a download window is controled by your computer/browser settings, its nothing to do with the host or server.

ULMB used to be my favourite host until I came accross the problem that attempts to contact staff for help were ignored, people are nasty and ungrateful in the forums, ulmb restrict you from several things and the host locks domains...preventing you from changing host!!
Victor01469

They don't lock the domain. It is locked through the domain seller. What you need to do is change the DNS/Control Panel info and unlock the domain.
