Problem with sitemap.xml

I wanted to register my page http://www.soft4everyone.com with google
with help of Google Sitemaps. I generated sitemap.xml in root dir but google didn't validate it. I don't know what exactly happened but looks like you add each file accessed from outside some code or what. Is any solution for this?

A similar problem I have with PAD (xml) file. When I tried to read it on shareware pages from my page ulmb.com it was marked as invalid. When I move it to another site, everything was OK. But sitemap for Google is impossible to move, it must be in root of web. What can I do?

The server prevents direct requests for files other then php/html

OK I rename it to sitemp.html and it helped. But think about posiibility to allow xml files. I theng in them isn't some security problem, they are the same like html files. Thanx
