Using mysql/databases outside of localhost

Is there anyway to access my database from my computer or another host? I'm transferring hosts to my computer so i can host it on there. Is there anyone to keep my database from ulmb?

No, you cannot access the database from your computer.

I do not suggest you host your web site on your computer unless you have a nice server and a wonderful connection to the intenet (like OC-XX). Also, most times ISPs block you from hosting web servers on your own connection.
