What ads are currently used?

I am just wondering since I wish to send a few friends over here for free hosting unless they wish to pay. Is it still the type that popup over the whole screen or is it another type now, and what type of content do they have?

We use popups.
They are managed by another company, we dont know exactly what ads will be shown, its whatever advertiser happens to be running at that time.

If you use a popup blocker it may cause some strange effects which is beyond our control.
