Whats the Port on here?: (Resolved)

Ok, I tried something diffrent, I did automatic Install, then Manual...

Smf has automatic webinstall, So all it asks me is:


Server: (the area where you put "LocalHost", but I put Mysql
Port: (WHATS THE PORT? I DONT GET THIS PART!!!) (There is a Default port, it has "21". But this is what I get when i Put it:


Unable to connect to FTP server with this combination of details.


Now there is another part where it sais:

File Permission
Some hosts require that PHP scripts not have a file permission of 777. If you are on one of these hosts, or if you recieve an error code of 500 after the packages are downloaded and extracted, please change the file permission in the below field. A common alternate value is 755.

The Default for this is 644 it sais... can someone help?

If you have it installed then shouldn't it be done?... o_O

Just upload the entire package of the forum files and run the installation. Create a database and enter that information during installation and remember, the host is "mysql" not "localhost".

Go into your control panel and create a database. It will give you the information you need. Give it a name and a password and quit being so damn annoying... (If what your ending means "FFS" - "For ****s Sake" then you should really show some damn respect if you want help.)
