Do you guys allow us to have our own subdomains?

Yes create a directory named music and it will work automatically.
Please use the search function, there are tons of threads on this already.

Actually, you can ONLY have .ulmb.com or .com.net.sc.

I cant find the option to let me make a subdomain that says something like
riot.epic-phail.com
It only says I can create a .com.net.sc or .ulmb.com

Create the directory and it works automatically, you dont configure it in the control panel it just works.
Yup, just create a folder with the name of what you want like for example "sub" and make it in the site you're working on.
So then when you go to "sub.epic-phail.com" It would show what is at "epic-phale.com/sub" :)

Doesn't work for me.
http://www.chatshack.us/Sick/
http://Sick.chatshack.us/
Maybe it's because of the capitalized "S" in "Sick" ? I noticed that when I went to the subdomain, it took me to "sick.chatshack.us". I also typed it in capitalized but it sent me to the same URL with the lowercase "s".
Try renaming the folder and having it lowercase. "sick". Might fix the problem :)

No thanks, I'd rather not spend hours resizing "s"s

The folders must be in lowercase.
All host names (domain names and subdomains) are lowercase.
You should also avoid having uppercase characters (and spaces) in urls, they tend to cause incompatibility, especailly somewhere a few months later you find out you cant do something because your urls are uppercase.

Point understood, perhaps I'll get it changed tomorrow.

It should be good to mention here, the canonical way (normal/correct way) is to not use any uppercases at all in file names, to use underscores where a space would be, and to keep them relatively short. Just a few things you'll pick up if you ever program.

I am already a programmer.

I would have thought you'd know to use all small letters, especially in folder names by now then.

I fail to see how programming relates to webserver case-sensitivity.

I learned by programming that you should use lowercase because sometimes it just doesn't accept uppercase, and since you do(should) name all your files in lowercase why name the directories in uppercase?

I guess what arenlor and me are saying is someone with enough knowledge about computers to be a programmer should also know to avoid uppercase files/folders on websites.
This is especially true when you are telling someone your URL over the phone or in person.
Imagine how bad it would be if people had to remember the casing of letters.

*nix is case sensitive, afaik, windows is not. That is how I learned it, I program platform specific.

MSDOS was, I learned on the original M$ ^_^ short file names, case sensitive, one mistake screws up your whole computer, man I miss those days, happy to be on Ubuntu now with a nice fully functional Terminal.

For testing i've got http://sub.pill-pop.net but the only way people can change files can in there is by going through my own site's directory, which obviously I don't want :\. Any idea how I set up FTP for the sub-domain?
:) Thanks, Joe.

Damn :\ Alright then, thanks. Know of anywhere else I can go to host? I made my site so I could host sub-domains :\

There is nowhere that is going to let you do this without a reseller account which will be expensive.
