For some reason when I transfer a forum skin or come smilies over on the FTP.
It comes up all glitchy or corrupted. Do you know why this is?

It happens on Smart FTP or Core FTP

Please explain how it is corrupted or a before/after sample.
Copy the ftp transfer log here if you can.

that is the example of the glitch.

The log is too long for one message.

At least post the log for one of the files which are broken.
Are you sure they arent broken on your pc?

The log says it transfers fine.

The images on my PC are fine also.
Since I uploaded the same skin for a friend also.

Something bad goes on during the transfer here or it is the site that messes it up

Oh wow that seems really odd...

Seems like they're "broken" but on Firefox it's not supposed to show broken images, yet it does... almost like that's the image that's supposed to be there...

Try uploading the images using the control panel. Maybe your FTP transfer settings aren't correct or something? (I don't mean the information, but the transfer settings.)

But yeah, try uploading through the control panel and see what happens.

Maybe try a different FTP program. If you have Firefox, get the addon named "FireFTP" (that's what I use) and use that to upload the files.

Alright I will try it.

Perhaps you are right. I will keep you posted.

I think the problem is you are uploading in ascii mode instead of binary.
Please make sure your ftp software is set to binary mode.

That's actually what I was thinking was going on here but I didn't know the actual terms (ascii and binary... well I knew binary but forgot lol). So all I said was "transfer settings" :p lol
