I was thinking of getting paid hosting with you guys, but I'm unconviced that its worth it. Most hosts are offering cPanel 11 (even some free hosts) and thats what I'm looking for. Maybe yous should think about getting it.

Imo, their custom cpanel is much nicer than cPanel, which I find over-rated anyway.
Erm...
What exactly do you need cPanel for that you can't do currently? As backdoor stated, cPanel is just way too over-rated.
But yeah, still wondering what you need cPanel for that you can't do now.

No the ulmb panel is really good the only problem I have with there paid hosting is the amount of space they give I was wondering maybe we can talk something out and maybe change a plan to have more space but less other stuff like emails and database etc

We have plans that start at 5GB (GIGs not MBs) and go all the way up to 50GB. Do you need more then that, or what did you have in mind?
Wow you completely changed the users subject o_O...
Maybe first you should just develop your site, and if the time comes when you need more than 5 GB's of space, upgrade. You might be wasting quite a bit of money getting space you'll never use.

Forget it I don't want to get into this
You never said who you were talking to...
You posted in a general discussion section, in a forum where ANYONE can reply. You should have acknowledged you only wanted staff to reply in your first post. Otherwise it's open for discussion.
My reply was not meant to be rude or mean in any way and I apologize if you took it that way.

And wow I totally missed that you were a different person...
Sorry to the thread starter. As for you, arudis, quit hijacking someone else's topic and create your own! People will never be going to get a definite answer with people like you posting more and more questions instead of just making your own topics!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edited my second reply to correspond to your response a little better. It still doesn't seem rude so I don't know why you're on your rag..

cpanel is full of bugs and unstable.
unless you need something that we dont offer i would avoid cpanel.
our control panel has been designed to be more stable, secure and faster then cpanel in every way.

Ok guys thanks for your help. I've found a host that I like and that has cPanel X. I'm not going to tell you who it is because that is advertising and against forum rules. Thanks for the hosting up until now. :D

I believe you don't have Custom MX Records, A File Manager that extracts zip files, backup wizards, IP deny manager, advanced apache handlers, details statistics and logs, cron jobs, frontpage extensions, advanced domain management, ftp account manager and ftp session control. erm i think thats it ohh yea and easy to use and navigate

Actually we have almost all of that.
Custom MX (and also A and CNAME that cpanel doesnt offer) will be available in 1-2 weeks.
Our file manager extract zip files, backup, stats, ftp accounts (we call it user accounts because we offer much more then just ftp controls).
You can do ip deny with htaccess which we offer.
"Advanced" apache handlers and domain control is just fancy words for what we already offer.
But you seemed to have missed my point, i didnt ask for a list of cpanels functions.
I want to know what YOU need that cpanel has and we dont.

are you saying our control panel is not easy to use or navigate? its similar to cpanel.
If you have any suggestions I would like to hear them.
One thing we wont have is cron jobs, but in 99% of cases you dont need it even if you think you do, there is no need to update processes when nobody is viewing your site.
Frontpage extensions has been discontinued by microsoft, so any cpanel host which is still offering this will be removing it soon, especially since there are security vulernabilitys that wont ever be fixed, that doesnt mean you cant use frontpage to design and upload your site to us, that not what frontpage extensions are, you CAN use frontpage without unlimitedmb.
It's all there, it's just ausaf probably missed it or something. Most of what you listed, ausaf, can already be done. :) You're probably just used to how cPanel works. :)
Plus, what's so great about the custom panel here is that, the ULMB staff is upgrading it quite often :) Making things better for the users here.
I bet that if you ask your new host about something being added, they won't even care or do it. ULMB staff actually take time to think about the users and their needs.:)

Yes to wwe, I am quite familer with the layout and features of cPanel 11, but there is another problem, when I went to install my vBulletin software on this site, everything in the admincp doubled up and wasn't working properly.

this is nothing to do with the control panel but actually the free hosting ads interfer with vbulletin admin. this wont happen with a paid account.
That's because of the ad script added to free accounts which makes things double for vBulletin. Everything in the end works just fine but you have to deal with it being doubled.
It's not that big of a deal unless you plan on spending all day in the AdminCP :p But everything works just fine :)
Edit: Damn beat by Eric :p

Ok, well I'm settled with my host, if ULMB bring out a feature that I like or my host starts to get slow, services stop etc. I will pay to come here. Thanks for all your feedback.

Eric, their is one thing that is rubbish about ulmb.
DIST files not allowed, and .file file types.
This is off topic and nothing to do with paid hosting.
Paid do not have any file type limits.
Rubbish?
Umm... they only allowed well known filetypes and filetypes brought to their attention early on here on ULMB.
Upgrade your account (try the tiny package, very cheap :)) and you'll get no restrictions (almost no restrictions :p).
