Php Nuke Pre-Installation Questions: (Resolved)

Ok, id like to know a few things before I set up the installation of the PHP Nuke 8.0 which I have downloaded, which as many people know, is a fair amount of time... anyways, lets start off :)

1 - How would I get the portal to display as the main page?

2 - Does it support forums other than phpbb?

3 - Is this a powerful and reliable web portal?

Anyways, individual answers is ok, but if you know all of them, be sure to answer them :)

We have nothing to do with php nuke.
These questions arent even related to using it on our hosting.

Oh, Im sorry, I forgot to look at the larger topic before posting, "Web Hosting", I just read php installation help and thought it was the right place >.< Anyways, can this be moved?


Also, would this work on SMF 1.1.4? I think thats what i'll use if it has the support for it...

Both phpnuke and smf work on our hosting, but I do not know the answers to your other questions.

They are very specific questions to the phpnuke script and not to do with hosting, you will probably get a better answer if you ask phpnuke.

3 - Is this a powerful and reliable web portal?1.) Just upload the files to the root directory. Don't upload them to a folder.

2.) I don't think so... When I used to use it, it came pre-built with phpBB but who knows. You should really ask the PHPNuke devs about it.

3.) It's ok for beginners. Some good templates and easy to use :)
