So my computer died today (I should have seen it coming). It is really just the hard drive, but the whole thing is kinda turning into a pile of crap. I am in need of a new computer.
I don't really want to spend much money at this time on one so does anyone know of any good sales on PCs right now?

I know there is one from ecost that was on woot today 2.4GHz Pavilion Elite Intel® Core 2 Quad Media Center w/ 3GB RAM & 640GB HD - Vista™ Home Premium (M9040N) http://www.ecost.com/detail.aspx?edp=40348052 for $669.00
anyone have any other ideas?

Have you looked on eBay? They for the most part have people selling brand new computers, in package, for low prices. What do you think?

I don't really trust computers off ebay... who knows it could end up being a computer like mine :(

I am all for building my own, I just don't have the time to look for all the parts :(

If your hard drive failed why not just get a new drive? even a small one is cheap.

If other things are failing just replace those parts.

Screen, mouse, keyboard, cd/dvd drives, power supply and probably more parts are still good.

But thats a good price for that system.

Wow, I just realized there was a countdown on the low price.. If you don't want to replace the bad parts, and just want a new computer, I say go for it!

That's a great system, you won't find a deal like that in any store (Unless it's Black Friday, of course).

That's a great price for that comp Tyler. You should go with it if you want a new one :p

You might be able to fix your old one for less... maybe, can't tell you for sure but you should be able to.

Also I wouldn't go with a computer from eBay either... Hell I don't trust a lot of the things from eBay...

Whenever I make purchases on eBay, I only buy from the sellers with high reputation. But then again, you can get scammed, and the process you end up going through is a real pain.

Ha, that system said 48 hours left 4 days ago. That's funny. I ended up buying a new one off an outlet store.

Mine right now cant handle Vista, the hard drive is bad, the ram is bad, I think that the power supply is going out, one of the fans is going out, and I think there is one other problem I cant find. It's time for a new one. :)

The countdown is still going! What a laugh!

They upped the price $20, how funny.

How's your new computer running?
