This is the answer i got from one of their Support Admins

Hi,

Your post has been split into a new topic, I'm sorry however you cannot create cname records on ULMB, i found a post from 2/07, however you could ask again and see if they have brought in that functionallity

cname records? are can we created those yet? i was wanting to turn one of my domain names here into a forum domain name so any help please? like have my domain be like Ex: www.forum.neofury.com or www.forum.mechquestadvneturers.com something like that.

Nope, why not just host the form here?

CNAME functionality is not yet available with ULMB. You may want to place a redirect on a subdomain of your current domain, and other than that, you may want to consider buying a domain which has the possibility of setting the Domain CNAME record.

I agree with Tyler: An IPB license is not free, but hosting one at ULMB would be much better in the longrun.

IPBFree does not allow forum backups, custom mods, and many other features that come with a IPB License. Making your forum there means you will be stuck there for good.

Not that we want to make life harder for anyone, but adding every feature that every member requests would be impossible on only 1 person. Eric does have plans to integrate more domain features into the control panel, but that will take careful planning and time. All I can say is to wait for it for now, I know he is working hard to add more functionality to our control panels, but also has to maintain the server whenever things do happen.

EDIT: You can now edit your DNS records at: http://account.ulmb.com/dns/
