so... we can only upload files that are 2mb or less... what if im using this to host my screen casts... how can that be benificial for me and my community??
Although... I love this site... I find that there are alot of restriction.. like no md5 files.... or .exe or MP3 i believe.... but apart from all of that this site is the bomb... love to be with you guys!!

the site is so great
it is fast and support PHP and MySQL
thx
but I think
the File size limit increased to 3 or 5MB or bigger will be better
and if the PHP file max size can be incteased to 300KB this site will be the
greatest one!!!

yeah cause if u wanted a mp3 music file uplaoded , most songs are over 3mb in size so 5mb would be good, but everything else is just awsome

Maybe even file limit as like 20 MB? I mean, we get 5 gigs, 20 MB file limit isn't going to hurt it.

We are not a file host, it wont ever be put at 20 MB :) you can use a service like www.35mb.com who has a 35mb file size limit, they are a file host.

Okay, but most people aren't going to use 5 gigs in little 2 mb files.
This is not a file hosting system...the people can use it for hosting many domain, under single account.

If you want somewhere to store large files use
www.35mb.com (http://www.35mb.com) or www.file2you.net

How does one access the CHMOD function. I don't see it on the Control Panel, but I may not be looking in the right place. Thank you.

You chmod with FTP.
The chmod function is not required, we enabled it simply to stop the volume of complaints, its not required on our type of server.
Changing the chmod permission will have no effect on anything.
Thank you for the upgrades
Shouldn't it be 2 gig file sizes? :/ I can't upload videos or anything. Not very helpful.

No, as you read the terms of service and what we offer, we offer 2MB file size or 500kb php upload.

Also seems to be a problem with txt files and robots, googlebot is unable to read robots.txt meaning it ignores the rules set in there.
It shows this as the code downloaded, anyway of fixing this?

I am suspicious of this robots.txt file being ineffective also. But I don't really care, unless you have really important data which you'd like to secure and doesn't them to be listed.

no nothing secretive or private, but it just helps with cutting down server load and bandwidth from bots. You can keep some bots from indexing your site with robots.txt, which will lighten server load from aggressive bots and cut down on bandwidth - something that I'm working on reducing regardless of the data limit.
