I just recently signed up for this host, after trying multiple others. Right now, I'm seeing if the free service is good so I can upgrade later on. I am using the Webinstall script to install SMF, and it askes me for my FTP info. I don't know if this host supports FTP, so I'm asking, is their any other way to install SMF?

we support ftp just check site info in the admin cp however I also recommend you NOT to use smf and instead use phpbb3 as smf is only good for newbie and that most successful forums use phpbb and vb.

Your opinion is fine, however, smf IS a good forum software and IS very successful.

@ginfinity: Take a look at this: http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=4 and http://account.ulmb.com/sites/

Best way and the way I recommend doing this would be to download it, extract it on your computer and zip it up again, then upload it using the control panel here on ULMB. (Be sure to check the box to unzip the files after uploading)

Uploading via FTP takes quite some time file by file... Best to upload it all at once :)

Best way actually is to download it, upload it, and then extract it on the host.
