it would seem the extension, and well you could answer for both of them, since it'd save time in the future when people search and get them both in one topic. The topic is .md5 not supported so unless the php function is .md5...

You do not need to upload the md5 files.
They are there for you to check the archive file, your not meant to upload it to your webspace.
