Domains purchased here, work elsewhere?

Hi, I recently purchased a domain name here and I was wondering if it would work elsewhere, or do I have to keep using it here. Because I am using a free account here, and I have another web host that I pay for, and I would like to use the domain there instead. So could I point it there?
