it says i need to have a letter for my database but thats not possible since you guys make my database 9071_

Are you using the latest version of Joomla? (1.5.2 Stable) and can you take screen shot of the exact error message and post it here.

This is a problem with the script.
There is nothing in the mysql specifications that says the database name must begin with a letter, and we certainly are not going to redesign our whole system for them.
Try turn javascript off in your browser during the installation.

still doesnt work it just sends to a page with that error lol
I also modifed the scripts according to some members of joomla :(

its a bug in joomla, lots of people have this problem.

extract the attached zip into your joomla directory (upload and check the "extract zip" box)
run the installation as normal
