Wed 23rd April Server Update/Downtime Notification

On Wednesday 23rd April at approximately 7PM EST/4PM PDT/12PM GMT we will be moving all data on the server to a new machine.

The new server is an Intel Quad Core 64bits, 8GB ram, 1TB hdd.
This will give a big speed improvement and room for more expansion.

We are not expecting any downtime during this process, but it is possible.

It is likely we will disable ftp/control panel access for an hour or so to prevent data fragmentation (ie. if you upload data to the old server and then it wont be there when the new one comes up).

Well it was supposed to be 21st, but due to the server company completely not following instructions on configuring the server properly, it has to be reformatted, so it definately will not be done today. So will set the date back to wednesday 23rd.

Would I be correct to assume the long downtime today has something to do with this? Or was there another issue?
