Hi, I'm trying to get a subdomain I've created to pop up on google, yahoo, aol, and msn searches. I've tried submitting the homepage's url, and creating a sitemap.xml file. I've even waited about 2 weeks in hopes that a crawler might pick it up but I still got nothing.

Am I missing something? Any help is much appriciated.

Well for one, its not instant: it can take a while. And for two, you have to have to have good content, otherwise the search engines wont care about your site.

actually, i had a site with barely any content. the index page only had a image and some text with no links. it was added to google, and some other engines.

I had a site with nothing on it, nothing at all, no meta tags even, nothing but a blank index.html page, I could only find it by searching the subdomain name (arenlor as it turns out :P) and it came up after I listed it.

The best way is to put your url in your signature and profile and post (not spam) on some popular forums.

May I suggest neoseeker.com as a popular forum?
