I'm trying to install SimpleMachines Forums onto my (graciously) free site, thanks guys, but I don't know what to tell the webinstaller.
It needs the server and port (claiming that it's localhost by default, and port 21? I have no idea)
It also needs the "install path"
Sssomeone help? I get the feeling this is really easy to figure out.

I have moved your thread to the correct area: "PHP Installation Help". If you read the stickies in this topic you will find your answer to the first question (as long as that is asking about mysql)
If it is asking mysql then the host is mysql NOT localhost. Don't change the port they have in there.
As for the path, login to your control panel, click My Websites then view site info on the site that you are installing it. That will give you the full path to your folder.
For example: if you are installing it on brokenlance.ulmb.com it is /hosted/subs/ulmb.com/b/r/brokenlance/public_html
then on the end of that you need to put the folder that you are installing it into.

Thank you immensely! I look forward to happily advertising UnlimitedMB.com when someone asks where to go for small-file hosting!
*edit* It doesn't seem to accept these things as correct. I'm using the webinstaller, and it needs what I'm presuming is routing information to my site/domain/subdomain so it can directly install from SMF's site.
It's quite possible I have the answer and don't comprehend it. If you like I can send a screenshot detailing precisely what's asked for.
**editedit* I figured it out on my own, had to take a different approach. Thanks for redirecting the thread and pointing out the appropriate sticky, it did infact provide what I needed!

You need to download the script from smf's website to your pc and then upload it to us.
The webinstaller will not work.
