Domain name renewal

I renewed my domain name, I even got the e-mail telling me I've been billed, but when I tried to change anything I get a "domain name is in redemption status" message and it won't let me administrate it.

Your domain expired July 13th, nearly two months ago... I highly doubt you will be able to renew it 2 months later, once it hits redemption mode
There is a redemption grace period, generally 30 days (can be upto 45 days) but it would say RGP in the status, which means yours is completely out of that period. If it is possible at all to renew your domain now, most likely, it would cost a few hundred dollars. (our register sets that pricing, not us)

I have used the "renew" button, got billed, and now my expiration date says 13th of July 2009.

If its going to cost me hundreds of dollars, just refund my credit card, and I'll be outta here.

The domain cannot be renewed normally because its in redemption and the registry will not allow us to renew it.

You waited too long.
We will refund the charge.
You can attempt to register the domain again once it has been deleted.
