I have just been illegally hacked on ulmb by someone. I recently found out he hacked into my account and took down my site by deleteing my files. I have proof he did it and if there is any way to legally get back at what he did, I am willing to do it! It took months for me to work on!

Some Proof;

I got the hacker underlined and I can give you his MSN and more proof.
I would liek to speak with someone via anything, as long as its someone who can help me. it would be better if it was live.

A defacer (hacker), is a person that discovers an exploit in a script, and uses that to take a site down. A real hacker is capable of things such as SQL injections, to rooting a server.

A wannabe is someone who can only take your site down by keylogging you, guessing your password, or DoS/DDoS'ing you.

In either case, there's not much you can do about it. Even if we looked up his IP, he could have easily been using a proxy.

If you're posting this thread in an attempt to see if we can restore a backup for you, please be more specific by saying so.

By logging into your account you have cleared the last login IP from our database and ruined any chance of being able to prove who the hacker is.
We only store the last login ip, not a complete history.
There is nothing legally you can do at this point.

Your account does not exist on the backups at all, so this was done over 1 day ago and so we have nothing to restore.
You must contact us on the same day of data loss in order to have a chance we can recover it from backups.

Its strange that there was not even an empty directory on the backups, did the hacker delete your ulmb account and you re-activated it?
If the hacker had access to your ulmb account and deleted it, then he has your ulmb password.
Either you gave someone your password, you fell for a phishing attempt, you used the same password somewhere else or as admin in your forums.
If you use a secure and unique password for your ulmb account the chance of you being hacked is very low.
