I cant pay for the host for at least a few months.. money is getting tight... Is there a way to shut it down for lets say till may, and still keep all my files?

Moved. I'd wait to see what an admin has to say about this.
From what I have gathered, though I may be wrong, you have been a paid member for about 6 months, and in that time you haven't violated our TOS, nor have you been known to cause trouble, which is a definite plus.

Sorry we cannot do this.
We could move payments around to different days to allow you to pay at a more convenient time, but not for months.
Can't he cancel his account and then once he's got money put it back up?
I mean, he's still asking if there was a way to just shut it down but keep the files on the server. Why not just make a backup on your computer, cancel the account, and then start up the account again once you're able to pay again.
Would he be able to do that?

If your download is too big it is best to download it using a download manager like FDM. Sometimes computers freak out if a download is really big and it will corrupt the file. (I guess it can make it look smaller then it is? )
