Email issues again

Another email issue. On the 29th of september, I recieved an email from my sister, which i read and deleted- which also takes it off of the server.

Now, about a week later, the email (still dated the 29th) is popping up in my inbox as a new message every few minutes.

It isn't just happening in my email application- the message is routinely appearing, but never at the same time, in both Thunderbird and Outlook.

Any ideas?

nevermind. It randomly stopped doing it.

This problem can happen if your mail software is closing the connection without issuing the QUIT command, the last message downloaded can be left on the server (the server assumes the connection was cut before you fully downloaded the message).

Thunderbird and Outlook both should work correctly.
