Ok...might sound funny coming from a person that makes his money doing web design...My business partner usually does all of our database stuff and I do the front end design of things...but this is a personal site of mine and would like help elsewhere...if possible

i need help making a database for my site...I need a database that will let users create a membership and then have a place for a username/password login...

and a place where it would tell them on the site that they are logged in or not...if any of this makes sense...

if anyone here can help me with this..it would be much appreciated...this is the site im updating:

Do you want to use a MySQL database or a flat file database to accomplish this?

A database would be the best for anything that you think you might need a database for because flat file can get out of hand very quickly.

Yah, as Tyler said, flat file can get way out of hand...

I have very limited experience with Mysql..but that's what I want to use...

Any suggestions would be great...thanks.

I agree, but i was just checkin with you to see what you'd like. Well, it's kind of hard to help out with this, as i find it hard to explain, but there's some tutorials you can check out on www.w3schools.com :)
