Well, it's been a very long time since I registered here back in 2006. I started off free, then moved on to Tiny. Sadly, I have to inform you guys that I am moving my site to a new host =[ It's been a fun ride. I'll be transferring within the next week or so, and then I will cancel my account. You guys have been great =']

Do you mind saying why you are leaving us?

To be perfectly honest, one of the only reasons is the user upload thing. I understand perfectly well why you guys don't allow user-uploads, but my site is starting to demand that users are able to upload png, jpg and bmp images directly to my server. I'm wanting more of a wiki-styled site without installing that wikia thing (I liked coding it myself).

Other than that, there is not much else I guess. I get quite a large number of requests in my clan on RuneScape to allow image uploading =/ Not like an image gallery, just...a lot of the content is starting to rely heavily on the images.

Small amount of user uploading is fine, especially for paid accounts.
As long as your not trying to run a site like rapidshare.

It's not at all like rapidshare. The user would upload an image through a script I make. It would go throug validation by a mod or admin (me) and if the image isn't anything too bad, we'd allow it to be displayed on the page it was uploaded on. I plan to use all images that are uploaded though, so that's where you might not like it. I need images so that users can get the full functionality of my site, showing them what certain things look like and where certain things are located within the game itself.

So, essentially it'd be a lot like a wiki page, where there may be 3-6 images per page...and there will soon be a lot of pages.

Alright, I'll renew my stuff for another year, and try it out. If there are any problems, please let me know. I really didn't wanna switch hosts, but I thought I couldn't let users upload images (I will restrict the upload box to only show image types (if that's possible, which I"m sure it is)).

I never upgraded my account, but i was looking into other hosts with destrugter because of the same reason, but it turns out i will upgrade here if this is true, Thankyou ULMB :).

Oh and btw, when would you say AJAX is acceptable to use? Is it just auto refreshing pages you dont allow, like an IRC, or can i use it apon user input?

Yes AJAX is fine, chat scripts are really the only thing we noticed is a problem, we never had any problem with any other usage of AJAX.
