whois lookup

okay so i dont know much about all this and i dont know if this is the right forum but i have been looking around and stuff and realized that if you lookup my domain name on whois it tells u all my personal info like phone and address and everything... is there any way to prevent this

Well if you had registered your domain here we have free whois privacy.
But your registrar charges $10 for that :(
