I just received a call from a client saying that they have received over 60 emails from me in the past 10 minutes.

I sent one email, but for some reason they keep going out.

The email in question is mail@igolfvision.com

Thanks

Our server just relays the emails as you send them.
Please check your PC for the problem.

My PC shows only 1 email sent

Our system shows the domain igolfvision.com sent 22 emails in the last hour.
We don't log contents of emails so I have no idea if they are duplicates.

They are duplicates. Do you know how to stop this?

It's not my computer...at least there's no indication of more than 1 email being sent. And I don't see how it can be a problem with the domain.

So you didn't send the 22 emails?
Your mail software may be think the mail failed and is trying to retry.
Our retry is set at every 6 hours, so it wouldnt do this at our end.

It looks like its already stopped.
I don't see any indication that you are sending any emails right now.

Nope, I'm using WindowsLive Mail and I only sent one email.

There is only one email in the sent box.

Glad it's stopped...just worried it will happen again.

Any ideas on what to check?

Thanks

I have no idea.
Since it isnt happening right now I cannot check it.
Anything I tell you would just be a guess.

I know how our mail server works, and there is no way I can think of that this would happen.
The only way is
1. your pc sent the mail multiple times
2. the receiver download it multiple times.
3. You put the same email address multiple times in the to/cc/bcc box.

Hmm, now I can't send email at all from that account. Do you see anything wrong with it?

You sent 12 emails so far this hour, the last one was 4 minutes ago.
What error are you getting or why cant you send?

I haven't meant to send any emails. I have one email in my outbox and I sent one email back hours ago when this problem started.

This is very very strange.

As for the error, after 60 seconds of trying to send WindowsLive Mail says it's had no response from the server and asks if I want to wait or stop.

I think thats been the problem all along.
Your emails are sending fine with no error, your windows mail is thinking it failed and is sending it again and again.

I think you might be right. I don't think I have the wrong pop3 settings.

Outgoing server is:
