.rm extensions

Hi guys,

I have some original music i've produced myself and would like to share it. Currently i have .mp3 .wma and .rm audio files, the .rm ones are disallowed, which is disapointing because they have the best quality to size ratio. I was wondering if it would posible to allow these for my account if that's not too much trouble.

Also I was wondering if all real media file extensions (excluding .ram) are disallowed, or if its just .RM?

Okay so I was wrong about the .RAM files....

here are my problem extensions, I think this is a complete list, but will add to it if necessary:

.m3u - Mp3 playlist - Orignal I.e. I made it - Songs i've written.
.ram - Real Audio playlist - Orignal I.e. I made it- Songs i've written.
.rm - Real Audio - Orignal I.e. I made it - Songs i've written.
.rar - I have a piece of software or two that is compressed in this format - Orignal I.e. I made it - Audio Plugins.

I fail to see how any of these extensions could pose a security risk, so if anyone has any ideas on how to resolve these issues please feel free to reply.

Yes, we disallow all extentions that are unknown.
Yes, anything that starts with a . is not allowed.
abc, you need to post a zip file containing the .bak file so we can look at it.
To see a list of file extentions that are allowed login to your account and click on "User Accounts" and create a new user account, it will then list all of the extentions that are allowed.

the

.bak files are just related to things i don't to be parsed anymore eg. old php files i dont want to be spidered, back up script installation files etc eg. forum, i can name them something else, so that's not a huge issue. Also PHPBB2 has some .bak files that come with it, so i don't know how it will be effected i.e if it makes changes and then backs up files by using the .bak extension. So I don't think they are essential, but the following ones I do need:

I'll post a zip with all the files i can't upload if that helps - except the .rm because they are ~5mb each and there's ~10 of them. If u need i can post a link to my old website where you can view / listen to the .rm files so u know there's nothing fishy going on (as long as they are still there....)
