I am using the MercuryBoard Forums and was adding X7 Chat to allow chat room discussions to take place. When uploading files I noticed that the add on skin pack (.mbs) was not allowed on the server for MercuryBoard. I am able to run the board but I would like to change the skin than having to hand change every jpg/gif file.
Additionally when I tried to upload the X7 Chat I got denied .theme and .info files. Now I did upload them by changing the extention to .txt but when I tried to change them on the server I get "553 This file extension is not allowed". Can you please allow these extenstions as I can't get the install.php to complete it's run as it says "Checking for required files ... FAILED

you need to attach a zip file with examples of any type of extension you want to use, and for changing things to .txt and then back, you can't, what you can do is open all your files in notepad and use find and replace and replace all of the original file names with the new .txt file name.

i cannot add .mbs because you did not provide a sample

I can't upload the mbs file as it is 1.22MB size and the forum limits to 19k.

The limit for zip files is 2MB so zip and attach.

um you should not use that forum softwear as there is a bug wich a hacker can create account and be the admin and fuck up your forum

I need .cgi to be allowed for cgiirc (cgiirc.sourceforge.net) A IRC chat program also I need . cgi for some scrips written in perl ( i think)

CGI will never be allowed, sorry, that is not on our features list. CGI is very outdated and slow, anything that CGI can do PHP can do.

Okay I uploaded the zip file and the mbs extention I checked today still isn't authorized. Is it going to be?
