I have been using ulmb for quite some time. In terms of speed, I have absolutely no complaints.
May I ask the admin here, what is the specs. of the server? i.e. 1 CPU or multiple CPU processors?
It sure seems very stable to me.

Oh yes. I'd like to know as well. Like when are they gonna end the beta test period so that the other stuff in the control panel with be available for use.
ULMB has everything, except the fact that they use FreeBSD and not Linux. But whatever works.

FreeBSD is a Linux distribution.
Not quite true, Tyler.
FreeBSD is part of UNIX, and so is Linux. But FreeBSD is not a Linux distribution.
For clearer understanding, see http://keith.ulmb.com/?p=100

I didn't know. Just the name 'FreeBSD' made it sound offbrand. But to my understanding, its pretty decent.

FreeBSD is better for web servers then linux.
I have tested this on several live hosting servers, with different configurations.
After switching from linux to freebsd the load on the same server was half what it was on linux, with no performance problems.
Linux does have so many more features, but most of them are desktop functions which are not important for hosting.
