Yes, this is the question that every webhost gets asked and I noticed that nobody has asked this question yet. So how is ULMB funded? I noticed that web-hosts that answer this question are the ones that last the longest, and we all hope that ULMB will last the longest.

Are you guys privatly funding your servers? Are you planning on introducing paid plans to support the free ones? The fact that you guys have built a custom control panel reasures me that you are serious about this business, but I and every member would like to know if you will last.

Thanks.

One of the ways, is through their Google Adsense, as you can see from their ads at the top and bottom of the page.

How many people come to this site everyday and click the ads? I think the Ads does not help that much..

Not much, but it sure does. This forum has a lot of members, you'll probably never expected the huge number...

I think azx is right - the ads' contribution to funding is minimal.

We still haven't gotten any replies from the admins. I think I'm not the only one who's wondering about this question, am I?

The ads do pay for all server costs, they are in the control panel and on the forums.

Yeah, ads are not only paid off for clicks, but views as well.

I didn't know that was a violation of their rules. To encourage the clicking of the ads..?

An old host said to keep the link on the low because they did want the place to get overcrowded. I thought it would be the same. Sorry. :(

We will be offering paid packages and domain names very soon.
We already have our credit card merchant account approved, the order system is being setup.

Yes, that is a violation of Google's TOS.

Oh dear :( will that mean we might no longer have free hosting?
