[GR] Is my Banner ok?

How's this banner? It's for my new website called Alien Powered (the links in my profile).

I tried to keep the layout of the site simple, and so the banner reflects this.

So you think the ads stand out too much? I was trying to get them to match the navbar.

A Tip for making a banner, make it glossy. it would fit in nicely with what seems to be like a space themed site?
