View Full Version : Setting up MediaWiki?

Ok I am setting up MediaWiki and was wondering if anyone else has it. I click "Click here to set up MediaWiki" and it just shows a ton of errors then freezes firefox. I was wondering if there was another way of doing this or if I did somthing wrong?

Listing exactly what errors you get would be helpful.

The mediawiki forum (if they have one) is probably where you would find an answer.

Its overriding php's default error handling and then getting stuck in an infinite loop.

Definately a very buggy script, i suggest try something else.

Ok, im deleting it now. Know of anything else that is any where close to mediawiki? I guess I could try a later script but I don't think it would do anything different. I've tried phpwiki but it is not made very well at all.

I'm trying somthing else and get this

I know of something close, it's called mediawiki, but it's been updated, use the new version from january I think it was 3rd. I don't think you have it, the old version was buggy, new version is not.

It not installing is weird then, I'm running it perfectly fine.

Can you provide a link to where you downloaded yours? I downloaded it from source forge so it might have been a older download.

I got it from sourceforge too. hmm. I'll try to rezip it for you maybe.
