There are so many file-types that are banned, will it work if all banned filetypes are deleted...?

Try it and see, I am not sure what files are included in it that are not normal file names. You don't need the .htaccess files and rarely need any of the others, or you should be able to modify them.

Seems to work, now can I ask for a temporary shutdown of the Php Safe-Mode? :) Otherwise the installer won't install the program correctly :o

Sorry, we can not shut off php safe mode, it is there for a reason. You should be able to manually install it or change it so you dont need the things that are conflicting with safemode.

Does this mean that php nuke evolution can't be installed then?

Tyler

I have never used php nuke evolution but if the installer is the only thing that causes errors when safe mode is on then you should be able to manually install it. Contact the makers of php nuke evolution, they should be able to give you more exact answers wether or not it will run with safe mode on.

Thanks for the reply m8, I uploaded all the files into a html folder instead of the root directory by mistake and now I have to upload them all one by one. :(

log in to ftp under your account, like you're gonna upload. Highlight all your files on the server and right click and you should have an option like Move files. click it.

Hey guys

On my site (http://www.worldoftrancedancetechno.net) it is working perfectly so far. I had no trouble installing it manually and for starters there is a read me text file included on how to do it. When you upload all the files you will see it misses out some whose extensions are not allowed, yet it all works fine. There is also a way to upgrade if you have a working site running on PHP-Nuke Standard 6.5-7.6 etc. look in the upgrades folder for the how to. :) If you have any trouble installing it I'm sure you will find an answer on the official forums, there is a big community supporting this CMS. ;)

Can I ask what you named your $dbname and $dbuname in your config.php. I think I have named something wrong because on some forums they say to name it like 90_carerra or 90_carerra_ or 90_carerra_evo.

$dbname and $dbuname is the name of the database you created in the mysql area at http://account.ulmb.com/mysql/ there will be only one _ character.

Do you have to do the CHMOD to the folders to get it to work?

No you dont need to chmod anything on our server.
The server automatically sets correct permissions.

Works fine on php5 as well. Have you tried putting putting for $dbtype:

'mysql'

Also try it without the quotes. Hope that helps.
