Could you provide me with a litte advice on this chat that I found that is hosted on a diffrent server? Is this service ok to use if I put a link in my forum to http://www.everywherechat.com/index.php

Is this service ok to use? will it violate the tos? there is a mod in smf forums Integrated Chat Mod to add that to the forum could you take a look? http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=60

"The mod adds a fast java chat window into SMF forum and passes your users username into it."

or could I make it popup another window ( that the users chat in. Is this ok? I will wait for your advice. With my limited understanding this service is not a chat box or a shout box correct? Thank you for help in advance! Is something that you know of or service that you could recommend that would be much better and acceptable?

everywherechat.com is ok.
php based chats such as the smf mod that run off the server is not allowed

ok so i can post a link that make a pop window to the everywhere site pop up correct?
such as they click on the chat room tab and a new window pops up then they login there?

also do you have any idea how to fix the package manager screen if it comes up completely white not even an error showing? can i over write any of the php files safely to try and restore it? I'm trying to remove some packages with no sucess.

Yes you can make a popup window.

Blank page usually indicates a php programming bug, we have no idea how you would fix it. overwriting php files may fix it but can also make it worse.
