DefaultBandwidth Use (current month)

Hi,

I belive that ULMB says that the Bandwidth Use resets back to 0 at the start of each month. In January my Bandwidth Use was 11.02 GB it is now 9th of Febuary and my account's Bandwidth Use has not reset back to 0 but just carried on increaseing to 11.49GB.

I thought that ULMB resets the Bandwidth Use each month?

Why has my Bandwidth Use not reset?

Thanks

Fraser (Freid001)

If I remember correctly, someone asked this question and it had to do with them having to go in and reset it by hand every month. 500gb should be hard to consume in 2 months.

Yes we manually reset it each month and sometimes forget to do it.
It doesn't matter about going over your limit, we do not monitor bandwidth usage, nothing will happen if you go over.

Ok just a quick question. If you do not monitor bandwidth usage what is the diffrence between a tiny account 500.00 GB bandwidth and a Corporate account 5000.00 GB bandwidth?

If the badwidth is unlimited it would be really helpful if you could say so in the General Account Information column e.g. 13.63 GB / unlimited.

Thanks for your help

The tiny accounts have 5gb of web space, 3 databases, 3 domains, 50 pop mailboxes, mail forwarders and spam filters, and 2 sub users. The corporate accounts have 50gb of web space, 65 databases, 45 domains, 650 pop mailboxes, mail forwarders and spam filters, and 45 sub users BIG differences, even outside the bandwidth.

Fraser-
You made it clear in your post you understood that we have different bandwidth offerings for different account levels, and asked what the differences outside the bandwidth were. (You even posted the different bandwidth amounts)
What value do you want me to add by replying?

I can rephrase what has already been said:
Our accounts have different amounts of bandwidth offered depending on which account you pick. At this time we do not enforce those limits. At sometime in the future we might start enforcing them, but I highly doubt that. If we do, obviously we would make sure that the bandwidth stats are reset each month.

It is very unlikely that you will hit the bandwidth limits, 500GB is alot of bandwidth, 5,000GB is even more. You have used 9gb

I can put a flag on my calendar to make sure I check just your account each month for overages and suspend you if you go over, but I'm not sure that would be good. Thoughts? Are you ok with us not monitoring the bandwidth?

I looked into your account while I was writing this post and noticed that you are running a MMORPG on our servers.
You are not allowed to run any multiplayer games which make use of PHP and MySQL on our servers. Please ensure this is removed within 48 hours or I will be forced to suspend your account.

Ok thanks that has cleared up a lot of confusion thank you. Sorry but I was just getting confused but from what I understand you set bandwidth limits but don’t enforce them but may in the future. Sorry for any confusion but this has cleared it up thanks a lot. I am fine with you not monitoring bandwidth I was just getting confused with what you were all say but I under stand now. As for my account the MMORPG is part of my IT A level project I will download a backup tonight and remove it if I must but I really like ULMB as a host and need this site for my A level cource work! If I upgrade my account will you allow me to keep the site on the ULMB server?

Thanks so much for your help it has cleared up a lot of confusion thank you!
I am sorry if I have caused you any inconvenience.

Fraser
