Yes, PHP Mail scripts are not blocked.

You can't send out huge mass emails though. They have something in place that stops it. The Mail function does work, it's just you can't mass email with it.

Such as if you have a forum, which sends mail notifications out in batches, this will not function. Instead the e-mails have to be sent individually/in small amounts.
