DefaultFree Software List

The Below list is various software that you can use with your website. They are free, so take advantage of that.

If you would like something added to the list, give the link, title of the software, version, if there is a feature page and what category it falls under.

Free Forum Software

Free Blogging Software

Content Management Software

I'd have to disagree with you. I found that Joomla was easy to install, requiring only simple and easy to find info. As for the corruption you experience that was unlucky for you, but i have had no such problems and have updated Joomla several times and use several "complex" components in it with no issues. It certainly beats writing or generating each page of html individually, which is very difficult to manage.

I should also note that Joomla's current version is 1.5.15, not 1.6 as newway stated.

Actually, 1.6 Alpha 2 is out, so technically if you were to go on the home page, that is the first thing about a version you see via the developer news at the bottom of the page.

Technically, perhaps, but you couldn't use an alpha version in a production environment.

Yes Alpha is even before Beta.

If it doesn't work properly what you should do is report the problems to Joomla so they can fix it, thats the purpose of Alpha/Beta software, so people can test it and find problems.
