DefaultPhp xcart safe mode

Hi,
I am trying to install X-cart on my website.
I have the following error:

Critical dependencies failed
Safe Mode is enabled. Safe Mode must be turned off for correct operation of X-Cart application.
See details
To disable Safe Mode:

1. If you have access to php.ini file
Locate the /usr/home/ulmb/unlimitedmb.com/modules/php/php.ini file, find and edit the following line within the file:

safe_mode = On

change to:

safe_mode = Off

Save the file, then restart your web server application for the changes to take effect.

2. If you do not have access to php.ini file
Please contact your Hosting Support team to adjust this parameter.

Is there anyway I can change this or solve the issue?
Thanks

Safe mode cannot be disabled.
You need to ignore the error, it the script doesn't let you continue, edit its source code to remove the check for safe mode.
If you cant or don't know how to do either of those then you cant use the script here.

It does not allow me to continue without turning it off.
Its a shame as I have upgraded the account to run this website.

xCart state:

14. Is it possible to run X-Cart with "safe_mode" PHP configuration variable turned on?
The "safe_mode" disables several important PHP commands, including input/output functions and file upload support. This makes it virtually impossible to run a complex ecommerce software like X-Cart. Our shopping cart software needs input/output functions in order to read the template files, needs file upload functions in order to handle product image uploads. By default, "safe_mode" is turned off on all PHP installations. X-Cart is compatible with all default PHP configurations and most of non-default PHP configurations.

safe_mode doesn't disable any of that stuff.
It just prevents you from accessing files belonging to other users.

Whoever wrote that script seems to have no idea of how php security works, its probably not a good idea to use that script for something that involves payments.
