Exclamation Question From A Serious Html Noob

Ok, so i've got a URL for a forum, which is all set up and good. But i'm looking for a .html document to add to my site which will provide a link to my forum or redirect you to it. This is because my website is supposed to be just a forum, but I made a folder and put it in there first by accident.

Homepage URL: runeavenue.ulmb.com (needs HTML added to link to my forum.)
Forum URL: runeavenue.ulmb.com/forum/index.php

So, please help out if you can!

Just use this as the HTML:

Code:

(Top title of forum here.)

Be sure to just use notepad and save the file as "index.html" and then upload it. If you use the editor built in on ULMB, it won't work the same (unless you work it off with the "Source Code".)

It's best to use Notepad and just upload it named as "index.html" though.

Its better to create a index.php file with this

The other method of redirecting with html is not search engine friendly.

the header redirecting does not work for me, i was working on transfering my site from another host, and then i found out that non of my redirecting was working except for the html one, and that sucked cause then the whole point of logging in was almost completely defeated.

btw, u can put the meta tag anywhere, since i am, i place it where ever the code currently is, instead of making some complex piece of junk to place it in the head.

The php is the best way to do it, but as it being php you have to have your file named with a .php extension.

The header redirect does work, if it didnt work you would have major problems using the internet as alot of sites use this method.

It doesnt work because you did it wrong.

no its right, im not some noob at this stuff, header("Location: index.php");
i've ran it on my computer, and another server not owned by myself.

PHP tends to have these odd bugs every now and then...
